Tauranga has grown faster than most of its businesses’ websites

Tauranga is one of New Zealand’s fastest-growing cities. Pāpāmoa and the Lakes have filled with new houses, Omokoroa and Te Puna keep spreading, and a lot of the people arriving are retirees and families from Auckland who search before they ring anyone.

The city runs on the Port of Tauranga, kiwifruit and avocados out towards Te Puke, construction, and the hospitality strip along Mount Maunganui’s Maunganui Road. Plenty of good businesses here still have a Facebook page and nothing else. A one-page site with the right suburbs on it fixes that.

What goes on a Tauranga business website

The Mount, Pāpāmoa and the suburbs, named

Someone searching “plumber Pāpāmoa” or “hairdresser Mount Maunganui” wants a local. Naming Bethlehem, Greerton, Pyes Pā, Welcome Bay, Ōtūmoetai, Tauriko and Pāpāmoa Beach tells them, and tells Google.

Hours that handle summer

The Mount fills up over summer and goes quiet in winter. Hours and seasonal notes live in one place you can change in a minute, so the site never says you are open when you are at the beach.

Call, book and map on every screen

A tourist with a cracked windscreen on Marine Parade or a new resident looking for a dentist is on their phone. The buttons stay in reach wherever they scroll.

Your reviews and your Google listing, in step

We check your Google Business Profile hours, categories and service area match the site, and link your reviews so people can read them without hunting.

Photos of real jobs around the Bay

A kitchen you fitted in the Lakes, the counter at your Greerton café, the view from your Mount studio. Your own photos, not stock.

Who we build for in Tauranga

  • Trades and construction

Builders, sparkies, plumbers, painters and landscapers busy with the new subdivisions in Pāpāmoa, Tauriko and Omokoroa.

  • Cafés, bars and food

Maunganui Road, Pāpāmoa Beach, downtown Tauranga and Bethlehem. A menu, the hours, the map pin, and a photo that makes people hungry.

  • Health and wellbeing

Physios, dentists, podiatrists and clinics serving a city with a lot of retirees and a lot of surfers. Booking and ACC made plain.

  • Marine and outdoor

Boat servicing, fishing charters, surf schools and bike hire around the harbour and the Mount, with seasons and booking spelled out.

  • Horticulture services

Orchard contractors, pruning crews and packhouse suppliers working the kiwifruit and avocado blocks around Te Puke and Katikati.

  • Salons and local services

Hair, beauty, cleaners, dog groomers and tutors who need one clear page that says what you do and where.

Across Tauranga and the Western Bay

We serve businesses across Tauranga, Mount Maunganui, Pāpāmoa, Bethlehem, Ōtūmoetai, Greerton, Welcome Bay and Tauriko, and the Western Bay towns of Te Puke, Katikati, Omokoroa and Waihi Beach.

We are not based in Tauranga. Everything happens by email, so a builder on site in Pāpāmoa or a café owner at the Mount can reply between jobs. No website yet? Start here. In the trades? Here is what goes on a tradie site.

How it works

Questions we get asked

Anything else? Email us and you’ll hear back within 24 hours.

How much does a website cost in Tauranga?

Our prices are the same across New Zealand: NZ$1,490 for a one-page Essentials site, NZ$2,490 for Business (up to 6 pages, copywriting, booking or enquiry set-up) and NZ$3,490 for Growth (up to 12 pages). All one-off. The optional care plan is NZ$49 a month. Essentials is enough for a one-person trade or a single café. For a wider look at prices, see our NZ website cost guide.

Do you have an office in Tauranga?

No. We serve Tauranga businesses by email and we do not have an office there. That is the same for every town we work in, from Auckland to Invercargill. You get a link to your homepage design, reply with changes when you have a minute, and approve the wording before anything goes live.

How long does it take?

Your homepage design arrives within 24 hours of your go-ahead, and the finished site goes live within 72 hours if you reply quickly to the two rounds of changes. Timings run on your clock in Tauranga, by email, so there is no waiting for a meeting slot.

Can the site cover both Tauranga and Mount Maunganui?

Yes, and it should. People search for the Mount and for Tauranga as if they were different places, because locally they are. The page names both, plus Pāpāmoa and whichever suburbs you cover, without turning into a list of place names.

We are busy in summer and quiet in winter. Can the site say so?

Yes. Hours and seasonal notes sit in one place you can change yourself, and the Business package includes a booking or enquiry set-up that can take bookings for the busy months.

I only have a Facebook page. Is that a problem?

It is where a lot of Tauranga businesses are. Facebook is fine for regulars, but it does not show up well when a newcomer in Pāpāmoa searches your trade. A one-page site links to your Facebook and gives Google something to find.
